Infertility is a journey

Infertility; it’s difficult to find another word that causes so much stress, anxiety & heartache. Fertility challenges in the U.S. impact approximately 1 in 8 couples, and while it’s reassuring to know that there are others going through similar experiences, it’s also important to remember that no two paths are the same. You have every right to feel every emotion you may be feeling and make the best choices for you and your family. We understand that fertility challenges are not easy, that the stress can become enormous, and that feeling overwhelmed or lost may seem like the only option. Families come in many beautiful and unique forms, so whether you’re navigating these challenges with a partner, or solo — you are not alone. There may be ups, and there may be downs, but we will be here for you, with you, every step of the way.

In Chinese Medicine, we learn and believe that successful healthy conception comes from how your life is lived. One of the earliest Chinese Medicine doctors believed that the physical and mental health of our parents at the time of our conception, reflects what our constitution will be throughout life. By consistently taking care of your body and cultivating a healthy lifestyle, you are encouraging your body to be in the best possible state to maximize conception. Recent studies have actually shown that maximum benefits are received when both partners take care of their health during their reproductive years rather than only when actively trying to conceive¹.

Below are some tips to help you navigate this journey:

  • Having a support system, whether it is your partner, family or friends, surround yourself with people who love you.

  • Regular, weekly Acupuncture treatments are wonderful to involves boost sperm & egg quality, and ensure your internal environment is shining.

  • Nutrition, along with herbs & supplements play such an important role in the physical health of your body.

  • Exercise releases endorphins, we recommend walking or gentle yoga as a way to relieve stress.

  • Relaxation is so important for your mental health, don’t forget to do something for you every once in a while.

  • Have a healthy physical environment, getting rid of environmental toxins in your cleaning and beauty products can make such a difference.

Our goal is to allow you to take charge of your health, by teaching you how to be the healthiest version of yourself.

We would love to become a part of your fertility journey. If you have any questions or would like to book a free 20 minute consultation, feel free to contact us.
